BMW 7 Series

If someone looks for a used BMW 7 series, they have a lot of cars to choose from. The luxury line was started back in 1977 by German automaker BMW. Since then, a number of different models have come about. Now, BMW 7 series cars are highly regarded luxury vehicles.

The BMW 7 series is a full size luxury car. It is the hallmark of BMW's line of cars. The car can only be found as either a sedan or extended length limousine. As the cornerstone of BMW's vehicles, the 7 series typically gets all the newest technology and design innovations first, before they get passed on down to BMW's other cars.

The first of the BMW 7 series sales came in 1977 with the E23. The car lasted until 1986 and had both manual and automatic transmissions available, as well as a range of engine sizes with varying amounts of power and torque. In 1986, the E32 stepped in, bringing with it a V12 engine. The car had the added option of a stretched version featuring extra leg room for backseat passengers. The E32 was the last of the 7 series cars to have a petrol engine.

From 1994 to 2001 the E38 was the latest 7 series car. It had a 5 speed automatic transmission and a number of engine variants. The car became BMWs flagship sedan and was even driven by James Bond himself in the movie Tomorrow Never Dies.' In 2002 the E65 and E66 came along with hydrogen powered versions and the option of a manual transmission. Finally the F01 and F02 came in 2009 bringing automatic transmissions five variants V8 diesel and V12 motors and six cylinder engines.'
