BMW X1

The compact luxury BMW X1 is an estate car manufactured by BMW. The car also has a sports activity series. Used BMW X1 cars are currently on the market, as the car only just came out in 2008. Secondhand BMW X1 cars will not have gotten too much use yet, and could be a great option for people looking for a luxury used car.

The BMW Concept X1 came out in 2008. It was unveiled by BMW at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. There, it was shown to pack a cargo capacity of 420 litres of storage space. The back seats of the vehicle can be pulled forward to increase that to 480 litres of storage space. If the seats are completely folded, this storage space again increases, this time to 1350 litres. The car also features adaptive cruise control and semi command sitting positions. It also has performance control and either manual or automatic transmission, both in 6 speed. The X1 is smaller than the X3, making it a more compact and sporty option.

The car began production in 2009. The 4 door estate has a front engine, rear wheel drive and 4 wheel drive. It is based on the same platform as the BMW 3 series, which features the Touring wagon with xDrive. BMW X1 cars are part of BMW's Sports Activity Series, which includes the BMW X3, BMW X5 and the BMW X6. Production on the vehicle continues today. Each new model, from 2009 to today, has gotten slightly different power and torque out of the vehicle. For example, the 2009 version with an xDrive23d engine got 204 PS out of the engine, while the 2010 with an xdrive18i engine got 143 PS.
