Ford Mondeo

The first generation Ford Mondeo and child of the famous Ford Sierra was produced in 1992 and the mark IV version current today. The model was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September 2006.

Following its inception, the Ford Mondeo model, which has been able to move effortlessly between family and chic, and has achieved a high level of popularity in both the UK and Europe that looks set to endure.

2007 was a very successful year for the multi-award winning Ford Mondeo. In July it was rated as the Auto Express Overall Champion, in September it won the Caravan Club Tow Car of the Year for two years running, October saw it awarded the title of Scottish Car of the Year and in December the Ford Mondeo won the Top Gear Car of the Year Award.

Other awards include: the What Car Fleet and Family Favourite Award in January 2008 and 2011, in May 2011 the Ford Mondeo won the top award from Diesel Car Awards and in June 2011 the Ford Mondeo saw victory as the Practical Caravan Tow Car of the Year Award.

In March 2011 Ford Mondeo cars launched the new Ford Mondeo sedan model in China.

Ford Mondeo cars treat driver, passenger and pedestrian safety very seriously and in 2007 they were awarded the Euro New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) maximum 5-star rating class for successfully completing all safety crash tests to European standard.
