Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The Mercedes-Benz C-class cars were first introduced in 1993. The first generation model, the W202 C-Class sedan, was the successor to the W201 model. The W202 model was released with multi-valve engines and a 5-speed manual gearbox. In 1995, an Electronic Traction System was added. The W202 offered a more stylish design than its predecessor.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class W202 underwent a number of changes and had a successful run up until 2000, when the second generation C-Class model, the W203, was introduced. The W202 was noted as being the most affordable of the Mercedes Benz range up until 1997, when the brand released its A-Class range.

When the second generation C-Class model, the W203, was released in 2000, it offered a newer design and higher performance, and was available as a hatchback, sedan and estate. A T-Model estate and sports Coupe followed in 2001. Four-wheel drive became available on the C240 and C320 models in 2003.

By 2004, the style of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class cars was changed, offering a new-look interior as well as advanced features. The Sports Coupes were upgraded, with advanced steering wheel features and a more sporty appearance.

In 2007, the third generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class model, the W204, was released. This model became available as a 4-door saloon and 5-door estate and quickly became successful. Since then, several new features have been added to many of the C-Class models.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has achieved much success. The W204 model earned the C-Class range a number of awards, including Top Gear Magazine's 'Executive Car of the Year' Award in 2007, and Japan's 'Import Car of the Year' in 2007-2008. There is now a wide range of second-hand Mercedes Benz C-Class and nearly new Mercedes-Benz C-Class deals available.
