The SEAT Alhambra cars are manufactured under the SEAT brand name by the Volkswagen Group. Originally manufactured in 1996, the first generation Mk1 Type 7M lasted until 2010, while the second generation Mk2 Type 7N first rolled off the production lines in that same year. It is a larger MPV with seating for seven. Both generations were and are manufactured in Palmela, Portugal at the AutoEuropa Plant. The model name Alhambra' was derived from one of Spain's most famous monuments the Alhambra of Granada. It was first introduced at the Geneva Salon International de l'Auto of 1995 and SEAT Alhambra sales began the following year in 1996.
